About Me
Samantha Foss is a multi-instrumentalist and multi-genre performer with tremendous skills. As long as she makes fantastic music that people enjoy, her success will continue to grow and reach even higher peaks. Her career speaks for itself thanks to a varied and excellent style that wins over listeners for life.
Every time Foss rode in the car with her mother as a child, she caught the performance bug. Samantha's mother, a single parent who put in a lot of effort to support Samantha, also sang in several local cover bands. Samantha would listen to the oldies station while her mother drove her to work, and the two would sing along while learning to harmonize.
At the time, growing up in Georgia was challenging. Foss didn't always get to spend a lot of time with her mother because she had to work many jobs to make ends meet. She spent much of her childhood cooking at home for her mother when she got home from work. As a result, Foss gained maturity and independence, which enabled her to flourish when she felt the pull of music.
Foss' mother paid the local teachers in the area what she could manage to enroll her daughter in early guitar and piano lessons. Samantha quickly caught up on both and began songwriting at age nine. She struggled in school and endured a lot of bullying since she liked music that wasn't played on top 40s radio. Others made fun of her for being raised by a single mother, which was unusual at the time.
Samantha Foss channeled the emotional distress this brought her at the time into her music and singing. Early on, her teachers noticed and encouraged her to play often. She eventually began triumphing in Georgia, high school talent shows. Due to these contests, she eventually won a scholarship to Performing Arts in her senior year.
After graduating from high school, Foss discovered her true purpose by majoring in music. Through the music program, she made friends who appreciated her inherent gift. She not only sang or played rhythm guitar in several school-related bands, but she also started numerous bands with her friends. They mainly performed a rock and soul fusion, with Foss frequently singing lead.
During this time, Foss also increased her understanding of music theory and her ability to arrange. She established herself as the primary vocalist, lyricist, and arranger in her ensembles and frequently produced intricate vocal harmonies. As she developed her skills, Foss often picked up new instruments, including the bass guitar, everything with keys, and even tuned percussion and drum sets. She was beneficial in numerous contexts because of this.
After earning her degree, Samantha Foss moved to the Georgia region and continued to play in numerous bands. Most focused on her abilities, while others showed her performing as a side musician. Her talent was usually too obvious to be overlooked for a long time. In the end, she managed to take over nearly every band, exploring distinct genres and sounds with each to advance her abilities even further.
Foss began performing at open-mic events but quickly secured opening positions for nearby bands. Her versatility as a musician and her ability to pick up songs without a sheet of music surprised her other musicians. Foss, who can read music and play by ear, has played in rock bands, soul bands, rap groups, jazz ensembles, and even classical performances.
A few years after beginning her professional career, Foss was a regular on the Georgia music scene and regarded as one of the city's most dependable performers. She developed her skill set to include several reed instruments, such as the clarinet, guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards. She could play in more bands thanks to this, and even though she was quite busy, she could maintain her financial stability.
Eventually, she was offered a recording deal by a nearby independent company that Julius Hitchcock, her former companion, ran. Hitchcock and Jules began recording as Sam and Jules. Hitchcock is a talented rapper and performer in his own right. His expert upright bass playing was part of their complex and varied sound, emphasizing relentless rhythms. They were a big part of the scene for a long time.
Samantha Foss recorded with multiple bands then, and he even created and issued solo albums under different identities. The Sam Foss Experiment, records released under her name, Soul Sisters, and The Blues Shouters were a few of these. She was able to tour the Midwest Region more easily because they are routinely sold throughout the Georgia metropolitan area, including in Indianapolis and Detroit.
As her fan base grows, she has pushed her tours further and intends to go to the East and West Coasts to tour, meet musicians, and possibly work with regional artists in these varied areas. However, due to her commitment to Georgia, this Midwest musician is unlikely to relocate.
In addition to her profession as a musician, Samantha Foss is a talented painter and photographer who has sold some of her creations. Her original works of art include digital, watercolor, and ink drawings. Foss enjoys sports tremendously and goes to as many Cubs games as possible. Her early fascination with television also led to the creation of a monthly YouTube show where she performed her music, exhibited her artwork, and chatted with her friends about the news.
